Esaunggul.ac.id, West Jakarta, Esa Unggul in collaboration with Asia University Taiwan and Nanjing XiaoZhuang University (NXU) China held a Summer Student Exchange program. The collaboration program which aims to introduce the culture and language of each country is held for almost two weeks, from 9 to 23 July.
On Tuesday (10/07) six students from Asia University and NXU arrived at the Main Esa Unggul campus in Kebun Jeruk to introduce themselves to the Rector and also take a campus tour.
Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr.Ir. Arief Kusuma, M.B.A in his opening speech with five Summer Exchange students said that the Summer Student Exchange Program is very good for students to improve communication with the world globally.
“This Summer Exchange opportunity is very suitable for students to see the world globally, as well as develop communication and interaction with international community. Experience is one of the important things that all of you will get when you visit a different community and culture” as stated by Arief at Esa Unggul, West Jakarta, Monday (10/09/2017)
Arief also reminded students who want to participate in this Student Exchange Program to try their best to adapt to the program, especially for Esa Unggul students who will also participate in Summer Exchange program in the upcoming August. “I want to remind all the students who joined the program to show good manners to the new environment because in this program, you will carry the name of your university.” Arief said.
Meanwhile, one of Asia University students, Wen Hui Huang admitted that she was very happy and proud to be able to attend the Summer Exchange Student program in Esa Unggul. This is because she can increase communication skills and interact with international students.
“I am proud to be able to join the Student Exchange program, later on I can increase my experience and the number of foreign friends with various cultural backgrounds,” Wen said in English.
The student, whose nickname is Emily, also admitted that she and her four friends were very enthusiastic when they first came and saw Esa Unggul University. Because, they have never seen a campus with grand and unique architecture like Esa Unggul University.
“When we see this campus, it looks very beautiful and grand. Compared to Taiwan, the campus here is rather grand, the classrooms are spacious,” she said.
This student, who majored in Psychology also hopes that by joining this student exchange program, she can increase her knowledge about the global world, especially Indonesia. In addition, she was very eager to bring a positive image of his campus and home country, Taiwan.
“We hope in the future, we can find out more about Indonesia, what are the unique culinary, tourist attractions, and culture. We also want to establish communication with students in Indonesia, especially in Esa Unggul, so that we can introduce Taiwan and our Campus to Indonesian students, especially to Esa Unggul students, “she concluded.
Esa Unggul will also get a turn to send their students to Asia University and NXU on the 5-26th of August. Nine Esa Unggul students from various majors will later join the Summer Student Exchange Program.
